Food and Agriculture Sector The Food and Agriculture Sector, formed by 900,000 restaurants, 400,000 registered food manufacturing, processing, and storage facilities, and 2.2 million farms across the United States, is approximately under private control (DHS, Food and Agriculture Sector). The Food and Agricultural Sector (FA) is something like 20% of the entire national economy activity (DHS, Food and Agriculture Sector).
